Okay, Hardaway is a moronic bigot. There's a fine line between thinking that homosexuality is morally wrong and hating the person who practices such a thing. The guy was just 180 degrees off target with his hateful viewpoints towards people like John Amaechi. I'm glad that he has recieved all of this condemnation and that the NBA has dumped him.
Still, this has shed some light that nobody seems to be picking up on. I always thought that we had to put up with stupid crap like what Hardaway said when it comes to other stuff. Whether it be having to put up with William Arkin's hateful diatribe about our troops, protests at soldier's funerals, people calling Bush a war criminal, nude people flashing children on school buses (that was brought to light yesterday), orginaztions like NAMBLA, Israel protests that involve anti-Semitical Hezbollah-supporters, and other stupid crap that the ACLU would support.
It's amazing. Whenever conservatives attack something ridiculous and try to hold people accountable (and not say that their right should be taken away to do/say such things), people on the Left always like to tell us how their 1st ammendment freedoms are under assault by people criticizing what they said and not their right to say it. Where are people on the Left defending Hardaway's idiotic tantrum? They'll defend the most moronic of crap but not this? Shouldn't this kind of idiocy be tolerated?
