I'm starting to get used to it now. I was really sick and tired of it for a while, but for some reason, the league is much easier to watch now. I'm actually beginning to like it again.
So, any predictions or suprises?
My champion is San Antonio. I guess the biggest suprise will be the Lakers finishing about 5th in the Western Conference. They have a good team, it's not just Kobe Bryant.

Ha, wow, if there's ever a post-season format that needs fixing, it'd be the NBA.
Some of you may remember the debocle that took place when the 2 best teams in the Western Conference, Dallas and San Antionio, met in the 2nd round of last year's playoffs. The idea was that if you didn't win your conference, you'd be seeded 4th at best.
Since 05-06, the format was changed. But it's just as bad as it was last year. The 1/8 winner plays the 4/5 winner and the 2/7 winner plays the 3/6 winner. The teams are not re-seeded after the first round like they are in the NHL.
And, the worse-case scenario happened-with the Mavs getting knocked out in the first round, the SUNS and the SPURS, the two best remaining teams, meet up in the 2nd round. It turns out, that the other participant in the Western Conference finals will be either the Rockets/Jazz or the Golden State Warriors.
And people complain about college football's system?

I really enjoy watching the Phoenix Suns play. There up and down the court and fast paced team play is so much more fun to watch than the walk the ball down the floor, set the offense, throw it into the big man, big man shoots or tosses it out to the perimeter ......
..... and it doesn't hurt that their coach is a good ole West Virginia boy, born and raised in the Southern West Virginia Coalfields (played his college ball at Marshall).
Was glad to watch golden State beat Dallas ..... can't stand the Mavericks' owner, Mark Cubin ..... he reminds me of Jerry Jones and that little twerp owner of the Redskins. Just some rich guys wannabes. Those guys need to go to the George Steinbrenner school of how to be a celebrity owner.
The Spurs are probably the favorite, but I'll go with the Suns.

I haven't watch the NBA much sense the days of Jordan. That was near the end for me. I liked the NBA during the Magic-Bird days. Now I really don't care at all about the NBA and I have just a moderate interest in the NFL. I don't really follow any team, I just follow players. Mostly former Buckeyes, but I also pay attention to some of the better players I saw play in college.
