Okay, since we're only one game into the baseball season, this should be okay. I want to hear some predictions on the upcoming 2006 MLB season.
Playoff Teams-NL:
San Diego Padres (NL West)
St. Louis Cardinals (NL Central)
Philadelphia Phillies (NL East)
LA Dodgers (Wildcard)
Playoff Teams-AL:
Texas Rangers (AL West)
Cleveland Indians (AL Central)
New York Yankees (AL East)
Detroit Tigers (Wildcard)
Cy Young:
Jake Peavy-NL
Roy Halladay-AL
MVP:
Albert Pujols-NL
Mark Texieria-AL
World Series:
San Diego Padres vs. Texas Rangers
I know I'm going out on a limb here, but if we've learned anything from baseball, the champions usually aren't the heavy favorites. I do think the Padres will win that matchup, too.

Those aren't bad picks. Although I noticed we disagreed on every playoff team besides the Cards!
Chris Shelton is going crazy. He's knocked 2 pitches out of the yard. If you guys have a fantasy team, make sure to pick him up. He was extremely hot to end 2005, and he appears to be keeping it up.

Yes, the Braves will probably win the division again. But not make it past the Championship game at best.

They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

What is the consensus on Barry Bonds being allowed to break Babe Ruth's and Hank Aarons record.
I wish they would ban him...IMO

It is a slap in the face to Hank Aaron to let Bonds break the record. It is a slap in the face to every ballplayer who did things the right way. Guys like Bonds, Mcguire, and Palmero should have their accomplishments wiped from baseball history. Guys like Aaron and Maris did things the right way and they shouldn't get overshadowed by a bunch of cheaters. As watered down as pitching is in MLB you shouldn't need to cheat.

thanks for the info spence . . you will also love bronson arroyo . . he's a gamer . . he should get the reds about 14 wins . . i was sad to see him leave boston . . he loved it here . . he had his musical thing going on . .
I already do.
Willie mo was platooned in cincy also. He doesn't need to be, but he seems destined to be a role player for his whole career.

Yeah, Arroyo isn't doing bad for a rusty, American League pitcher who hasn't hit in a while.
My World Series picks aren't playing up to what I thought they could, but it's April. I agree, the Texas pick came out of nowhere and it was my gut feeling (something that always does me wrong), and they aren't looking too hot. I figured the bats would start up by now.
My Tigers back-to-back losses are killing me. And then they take a day off that makes me anticipate the next game more! They kill because the Tigers are better than that, they should be able to score more than 3 runs against Texas, and another 5-3 loss to Chicago is something that they can't do much of this season.
