I am trying to figure out what Gary Patterson means by this. I have read this quote roughly a dozen times and my brain is rendering "does not compute" as an answer. He's referring to LSU's players voting on reinstating Jeremy Hill:
"I'm sure if it was some opponent they'd beat by 100 points [the players] wouldn't have a vote."
I have no idea what this means. Opponent as in....A player? A team? Voting on what? How would their vote effect the other team? They're voting about a player on their own team. Maybe the meaning is obvious here but I have no freaking clue
