The last two posts epitomizes what I preceive to be wrong about this whole system. If we are going to persist in this 'Best Team,' 'National Championship,' nonsense, which of course we are, and make it the body of work over the past years and not independently the current year, it is a good old boys club that protects the good old boys. No one doubts Alabama is a very good team. I have not read one person that thinks they are dominate this year, and with a winning record and their schedule, I have problem have people vote them number one, on this year alone. There are always built in bias in voting, especial when you "seed" them at the begining of the year. (Normally seeds are based on current records, e.g. NCAA Basketball.) Could Oregon beat Alabama, your guess is as good as mine, well maybe not quite as good......
