University of Oregon with their pink helments and shoes are going to win, but up only 10 at half. Washington State has about 2 years and they are again a contender. Leach has found a home, I think. I predict UO will just out stamina...intransitive verb, the cougars the 2nd half.

Oregon State is beating California like a rug hanging on a clothes line. OSU plays consitent and Cal is not good.

Boise got it in gear, but as I will report tomorrow, who cares.

At this point Oregon just needs to win. Doesn't matter what color helmets they wear. They have passed the "looks" test on both sides of the ball. I think they are number one. It is a hard pick between 2 and 3. Florida State is very good. The Bama D seems lots better than at the begining of the year.

I hope Brandin Cooks stays another year. I don't know what his draft stock looks like, but if he stays with Mannion, this offense will be great next year. Cooks is basically unstoppable. He might be the biggest playmaker in the Pac-12, which is saying something with their in-state rivals in the picture.

Where does Oregon find these guys? Tyner is a true freshman and he already looks like the next LaMichael James or De'Anthony Thomas or Kenjon Barner or Jonathan Stewart. The list goes on and on

I also agree that Leach will make Wazzu into a good program. And by "good program," I mean almost exactly in the same mold as Texas Tech. A program that is good for a bowl game every season, that is competitive in bowl games, and once in a while, makes a splash on the national radar. The defense at Wazzu isn't half-bad this year, although Oregon is making them silly. That's nothing to be concerned about since I can count the teams on one hand that would be able to keep this team under 500 yards of offense.

I want to say more about this "pink" thing....but I'm so tired of hearing about it and being lectured on how important it is.....that I feel their campaign is going to backfire on them.

I've talked with a few people on planes about this whole thing (Delta does the pink thing), and though they were all men, I'm not alone.

At least the NFL said that Pink penalty flags were a bit much.

I don't have a problem with a pink ribbon somewhere. I don't have a problem with the cause, but I agree they are pushing it a little too far. it must be at least a little disconcerting to be an Oregon player in the locker room finding out what the school is going to make them wear each week. You can only get away with wearing helmets like that if you are that good. Otherwise the razzing would be hard to take.

What's funny is that I remember a game in 2006 between Arkansas Pine-Bluff and New Mexico State. New Mexico State was sporting pink socks and I believe they may have been the first team to do any "pink-out" related activities. Let me check on that for you guys.

I think it's supposed to be something like, "football is a man's game, but we can wear pink for a good cause!" kind of thing. It had some novelty to it, but it's wearing thin. They could probably find a way to be less in-your-face about it. But I can't complain about the cause based on anything other than aesthetics
