I think we can take solace in the fact that we didn't lose to Grambling 8)

I'd rather be in Miami's shoes right now as far as the season is going. The only thing Michigan has to play for is to lose to Ohio State and lose their New Year's bowl game. At least Miami can win their bowl game

Sure . . . I'm so looking forward to losing to fsu for a second time in a potential ACC title game rematch.

Part of Miami's problems last night, also had to do with the decision to push the ground game with Johnson the whole time --- whereas, over the past few weeks, Dallas Crawford has stepped up as a great relief runner; there was no real attempt to rotate the snaps.

Here is the statistics for the Hurricanes' rushing from last night:

Miami ... CAR... YDS... AVG... TD... LG
Johnson... 23.... 97.... 4.2..... 0.... 23
Crawford... 2.... 3 ..... 1.5..... 0.... 2

Crawford has shown to be a more power back than Johnson . . . so if you're going to try a 4th down up the middle, put in the guy who has the shoulder to knock defenders sideways if challenged.

But Golden didn't even give him enough carries to get warmed up.
Big mistake; and now we are without the speed back here on out.

I wondered about that too. Crawford has been about as good as Duke Johnson has been in his role. Johnson is a little more explosive, but Crawford is good at what he does.

Right.

If you get both backs going in a game, then you have the opportunity to build a formation where both are in the backfield for the same play. This would cause the defense to split spies, and if you could play action to a TE from that . . . never mind now; Duke is gone for the year. :x
