Georgia seems like they can beat anyone, but they really don't want to win. I don't know how else to decribe them. They have enough talent to compete with anyone. They just don't seem to want to play a whole game.

Well....Alabama now plays Auburn in the Iron Bowl...and God does seem on Auburn's side.

I just noticed, and right around Thanksgiving....so 'We're having grandma for dinner' should make grandma nervous?
Both Auburn and Alabama will be up for and on top of their game. Alabama wins by 21. And as far a god goes...he's watching Notre Dame and BYU and shaking his head. The boys doing the reviewing had better get it right!

I hope he is watching something other than football. I can handle the football duties.

This is exactly the problem IMO. I've been saying that I think it's coaching, and I still believe that.
Sure, the players have to buy what the coaches are selling, and if they don't want to play, they are not going to play.

I think not playing full speed the whole game is the downfall for a lot of teams. To some extent that has to do with depth at every position. If you are watching a game, especially on TV, you have no idea of the amount of substituting power teams have, especially on the lines. You don't know who is in and who is out. And the subs play just as well as the predecessor. Fresh legs are essential to competing. This is not the same as playing subs when the game is out of hand. This starts after the third and fourth play. Not sure about Georgia, but I know the games I see in person, it is almost comical keeping track. The games I am most familiar with, West Coast that is what seems to happen with winning teams and when teams loose their depth, the late quarters are killers.

That is why if you see a long 10-12 play drive, it kills the defense. If you get two or three of these in the first half, you can have your way with the defense in the second half.
Back when the teams could have over a hundred players, the smaller teams that couldn't afford to keep 150 guys would have nothing left in the second half.

Syracuse held the ball for 42 minutes...FSU held it for 18 minutes...
FSU's offense scored 59 points in 18 minutes of play...the defense had to slog it out for 42 minutes with the starters playing "hangman" on the bench the second half...
It pays to rotate in a lot of fresh legs..the 2s, 3s, and 4s.
