Duke/Texas A&M
What I like about this game, is how Duke is not backing down, and taking it right to A&M.
This has turned out to be a better game than I assumed it would be.
Duke just blocked a punt. Could be a fun night, all.

Re: Duke/Texas A&M
A&M's offense seems to be losing their composure . . . Duke is in control.
If the Blue Devs can keep it up in the second quarter, they may win.
But they need to get a decent lead in front of themselves.
A&M has a habit of pouring it on late when trailing.
We'll shall see.

Re: Duke/Texas A&M
Duke looks hungrier. The talk will now go to Sumlin's new $5 million contract if they don't win.
The preceding statements are solely the opinion of GoBoilers and are, therefore, probably not based whatsoever on fact, research or more time in thought than what was required to physically type them. They're probably correct anyway, so you shouldn't argue too much, because otherwise he'll just blather on forever. On the internet Al Gore invented.
Re: Duke/Texas A&M
It's still early enough, but this is what I would have been afraid of. A&M has no leadership on this team in the locker room and it would be tough to get up for this kind of game. A&M has their heads up their collective rears, yelling at each other, etc. I think they can come back, but they are in some serious trouble.

Re: Duke/Texas A&M
I Love it ... Duke held to 4th & 1, instead of punting, potentially giving A&M a feeling of new life . . . a huge run, and in field goal range.
Duke just wont back down here.

Re: Duke/Texas A&M
All of this interest the nfl has in Sumlin is premature ... his ability to recruit Manzeil is not going to carry over to the next level.
Without Jonny or Evans; this A&M team is not much ... their defense is playing absent minded, like they have most of the year.
Sumlin is not as good of a coach as the hype surrounding him would indicate.

Re: Duke/Texas A&M
What a fantastic call, for the onside kick.
You get the ball in scoring range with 2 + minutes left.
These Dukies want it . . . you can feel it through the screen.
1rst down, goal, at the 3 with 2 seconds left.

The one that need to be concern is Auburn. All of this Duke patsy stuff may not be so true. FSU is getting vindicated for their Boisesque schecule.

I don't think A&M was that good. Terrible defense. All that said, I still think Florida State is head and shoulders above Auburn. If FSU can stop the run - and I know that is tough - Auburn will go down hard.

I think it might be a high scoring game. Auburn will probably jump on them early, but after Florida State has a chance to adjust, I think they will slow them down. I'm thinking it'll be a "first team to 40 wins" kind of game with Auburn doing most of their damage in the first half. Auburn's defense is just average and we've seen what FSU does to average defenses.

The implication is that Sumlin recruited Manziel which is not true. Mike Sherman was at A&M 2+ years ago so his staff gets the credit. Manziel is a RS Soph so this is his 3rd year there. Sumlin has ridden maybe 3 or 4 games more as wins with this guy. In basketball one guy can make a difference. I have never seen n guy do what this guy has done. He is a once in a generation player.

Apparently, GoBoilers does not know how to use the quote feature. Not surprising to me.

Duke lost this game....but to them, I think, they think, they won it.
I hope this game will be a positive turning point in the Duke Program.
I sure did like the idea of Manziel losing though...

They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

Re: Duke/Texas A&M
FSU's defense is so much better then then the Aggies....it was FSU 45-0 over Duke when the third string allowed Duke 7 points late.
This might bode well for FSU in the Auburn match...the Aggies played heads up with Bama and Auburn...and Duke.
