Zona @ UTSA tonight!

Postby WoVeU » Thu Sep 04, 2014 7:18 pm

I think we will get to find out what the Rodrunners have. My son is just hoping they compete...I dream bigger than that.

Maybe UTSA is just that much better than a team like Houston. They look legit. Depending on the breaks, they could easily win 8 this year. You could see this team rising from a mile away, but for them to be this good this soon is nothing short of amazing. They are probably three years ahead of schedule.

They missed some chances but they have a quality team. I have watched it all unfold and I am still rather amazed! What really gets my attention is how they play....smaller teams that rise up usually have something elaborate or flashy...they don't, they just line up and bring it!

Imagine what Larry Coker could've done with a program like Miami. Oh wait..... they had 'em.... and won a national title.... and fired him. Dumbest of all the dumb coaching maneuvers Miami has made. He would've ran the program right, recruited well, and eventually made them a regular contender.

Or, he would allow things to get too soft ... squander the the talent he had ... turn a blind eye to the influence of an out of control booster ... and mismanage the recruiting, to the point where the program would be unable to find its identity ...

Oh, wait ... he did that already, too.

Yep ... a great success at getting fired with top rated talent.

I applaud him for his work at Texas San Antonio ... and I even plucked them up for my conference.

However, they are 1-2 now.
