Stay Classy, WMU

This was unfortunate. Western Michigan was one of my schools I attended, so just when they started turning a corner, they became fun to watch again. Now news of this comes out and you can't help but be disappointed.

I certainly understand how it makes you feel. Coaches should not have to be babysitters, but often that is the case. Hard to believe some coach does not go into the team locker before leaving. This may be come a mountain out of the molehill, but it makes you feel ok when a QB gets suspended for peeing off of a balcony....Boise State last year. Nipping it in the bud is probably best. (Good to know they have indoor plumbing somewhere in Idaho.)

Well my guess is that Fleck and the coaching staff probably participated in the mayhem, which would be even more disappointing. Either that or he just didn't care enough to reel his players in, as there is no way he didn't at least witness what was going on. He is a "player's coach", which is probably a way of saying that he lets his players behave however they want to without getting on their bad side.

The team manager is generally the last guy to leave. He should have caught it. Maybe WM should dress on the bus and go showerless after the next game to learn that running water has a value aside from the $$$ amount. A guy I went to school with played for Western Michigan more than a few years ago. I bet he is proud of his Alma Mater today. The team should also have to clean toilets at their school with a toothbrush for about a month too as to not forget that acting stupid has consequences.

One of the commenters said that WMU should pay for them to go back to Idaho and do the janitor's work for an entire day. I kind of like that idea too 8)
