BYU v UCF

Postby donovan » Fri Oct 10, 2014 5:31 am

BYU fans are whiners, they remind me of SEC teams. They blew that game not because they were held on every other pass play, but because they blew a two touchdown lead. Drove me crazy that they could not deliver the goods. But that was one entertaining game, and in the end, entertainment is what it is about.

Was a fun game...four turnovers and still win?

I was watching TV with the Mrs. and missed the whole game. I noted this morning that I missed quite a game.

This was a fun game.

UCF coming back the way they did. They were almost able to seal this game away, only to thrown an interception. Right there, BYU had their own chance to win it. Instead had to settle for a punt. UCF looked done on the 2 & 20, but got 10 yards giving themselves a chance, only to get hit with a false start ... 3 & 15 behind your own 20 ... 1rst down, under a minute, moving the ball the way they did.

A little questionable play calling there, with 20 or so seconds left ... letting the clock roll to 12 before the timeout.

A botched handling on a 46 yard field goal attempt --- though, it being 3rd down, allowed UCF to call their last timeout, with 9 seconds to go.

Then, BYU blocks the, now, 50 yard field goal try.

All this in 2 minutes.

OT was still pretty good, with BYU having 4th & 1 @ the 2 yard line.
Nice final Defensive stand for UCF.

Yes, WoVeU ... you missed quite a game

Don't you forget now: Tonight (est.)
9:00 Washington State vs 25 Stanford
9:30 San Diego State vs New Mexico
10:00 Fresno State vs UNLV

If Washington State will just hold on to Leach...it may take a couple more years, they will be in the hunt. The biggest problem WSU has in recruiting is Pullman, WA.

Thanks for the breakdwon Cane! I did tune in for the Stanford - Wa St game, mostly the 2nd half. The Cougars are making strides. I agree donovan, if Leach spends some time there...the cellar dwelling will be done.

If only Leach could figure out what a defense is supposed to be for.
