They do this stuff on purpose!! It's true!
Every time the dawgs get a good win, they get sabotaged with this talk of "they are gonna win this or that".
This is very pre-mature when we still have 4 games left in conference play.
I'm doing my best to keep the team from reading this.

Sabotage!!
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

Re: Sabotage!!
That is a bit absurd ... Missouri is not that great of a team (they lost to Indiana in Columbia for heaven's sake).
A win over that team, regardless of how nasty the beating, does not make you all of the sudden unstoppable.
This looks like espn trying to justify the strength of the SEC east. And they are setting up a story for themselves , to talk about the collapse Georgia experienced, the next game the Bulldogs lose -- and, oh my, no one could have predicted this.
It's a win/win scenario for espn -- except for those of us who can see right through it -- you know, the portion of the country who they choose not to include in their "how would you like things to be" polls.

Really?
Intimating that ESPN might promote SEC teams? Almost like saying that ESPN has an agenda and will disparage some teams and play up others for their own motives.
Who could imagine such a conspiracy from the Mothership?

The Big ten network promotes the Big ten. ESPN has the SEC why wouldn't they promote the SEC? THe B1G makes a huge amount of money with the B10 network. I can't imagine the SEC is much different.

A survey of 150 duck fans showed 1,237 thought they were the best team in the country.

NBC has an exclusive with Notre Dame.
CBS has a contract with the SEC.
Fox has had a contract with the Big XII for several years, and recently acquired a contract with the Pac-12.
espn, on the other hand, has a contract with the ACC, SEC, Mountain West, CUSA and the MAC -- however promote the SEC as the it is some sort of sovereignty.
If it has to do merely with individual market inflation, as you suggest; then maybe their long term goals are to cause a rift between CBS & the SEC with hopes of making an exclusive acquisition -- be that the case, they are eventually going to have to pay off CBS and buy out the remainder of their SEC contract; because I do not believe CBS is likely to sever their ties with the conference.
One thing is for sure; espn promotes the SEC more so than the other brands they are associated with.

ESPN will have the whole SEC contract when the CBS deal runs out. They are setting it up now.

Re: Sabotage!!
The SEC network is run by ESPN. Are the other conference channels a ESPN affiliated? Just curious. I have never watched the other conference channels....outside of the SEC network.

Whereas the Big XII network is FOX

Nice, I think I've started the most sarcastic thread ever.
