Crooked Ref's???

Postby Derek » Sun Oct 26, 2014 9:39 pm

They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

I am not shocked. It may not be all the SEC. For a long time Gambling interests have controlled most everything they touch. Not sure now that the SEC is big business in Vegas, we should be surprised that the outcome is controlled, remembering people making book are the one group that does not gamble. They balance the books and if they can have extra leverage to make sure the results favors the lines, then how can we be surprised.

I don't know how crooked they are but the worst officiating crew in the history of college football did the Ohio State Penn State game. Ohio State was probably helped more than they were hurt by the bad calls. I never saw such an inept bunch. Both Ohio State and Penn State were charged timeouts when neither called one. The replay booth got the wrong feed on an Ohio State interception that shouldn't have been an interception. They even botched the overtime. you could here them on the mic most of the game. Just really bad.

I'm generally not one to complain too much about bad calls, but these guys were the worst I have seen at any level.

Not to mention [though I guess I am] a field goal Ohio State made 5 seconds after the play clock hit zero, that very well may have backed them up out of their kickers range.

Yes that too. Unless the scoreboard clock was wrong. The ref has the official timer so you would think that would be the right one. Penn State was also piping in loud music to make the stadium louder (they said 102 decibels) right up until Ohio State snapped the ball - which is against the rules. They didn't stop that either. Ohio State probably had more bad calls for than against in the game, but there were plenty to go around. It was absolutely terrible. There wasn't one holding call in the game and both offensive lines were over matched by the others Dline. The holding both ways was rampant. They were just pathetic officials who should never be aloud to do another game.

They just are not calling holding anymore....unless it is a "phantom" hold.

No, not the problem with the team, either team. Just one more thing to show how bad the officiating was. It didn't hurt Ohio State in the long run. The calls helped more than they hurt for sure. Just a bad group, though, according to the paraniod masses in Happy Valley - - the fix was in.

I believe that they aren't calling holding anymore. Both the Penn State and Buckeye olines are pathetic and neither were called the whole game.
