I have come to think that Golden is a great coach for a team to have.
He could have left Miami when he found out he wasn't being informed about looming sanctions. But he stayed to build a team.
I think that he is an organizer, a recruiter, and a good ball coach, and that Miami will be a force to reckon with the next few years.
And his post game remarks were classy...not chippy like Mulzhan's or Kelley's.
" It was a hard-fought game. That’s what this game should be like. This game should be like this every year. I’m proud of our guys for fighting. They fought their tails off. They just made a couple more plays than we did. It was as physical as anything we’ve been involved with. Hats off to [Florida State]. They made a couple of plays when they needed to.”

He is right. The players and coaches should respect the other team in a rivalry. It should be the most physical game of the year. It shouldn't matter what the record of either team is. That makes for a real lasting rivalry game. Golden is a good coach. He will make the Canes champs again.

Good character and ethics aside, he's probably on the hotseat anyway. Maybe next year they'll do better and ease the pressure. Louisville has beaten them 3 of the last 4 games and viewing some Miami fan sites this year that really doesn't sit well with them. Probably other teams fall in the same category.

You are probably right. But when only wins count with a school and building young people's character does not, you be come ripe for take over by those that thrive on greed and corruption. Both control NCAA sports.
