took care of it today....
So much for the discussion/arguments about 2 SEC teams being in the playoffs.

They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

And they are about to.
The SEC is not going to have ANY teams in the playoffs. At least they shouldn't, but you know good and well that the smoke filled rooms will ensure that Alabama only drops to #4

Bama isn't out of this thing yet. I don't think the committee will leave out the SEC champ. Not gonna happen.

No they are not....up by 6.
This is a GREAT game. I can't imagine being a fan of either of these teams tonight.

Re: Ole Miss
It has been a great game. Alabama has the momentum right now. Looks like they are getting ready to take control.

Re: Ole Miss
I hope they set a precedent of only taking the conference champions. I could see a case where undefeated co-champions could be eligible but its not likely.

This would be my system, basically make the playoff into a tournament of champions. I don't think the powers that be would actually allow that though, but it is feasible with 10 conferences, you give seeds #1-6 a bye and make the 7/10 and 8/9 games essentially "play-ins." That's my pipedream, but with superconferences they are going to push the "best 8/16 teams in the country" format.

Re: Ole Miss
I never buy into any system that gives a bye week in a tournament setting ... I do not see the sense in it, regardless of records.
Once a playoff's selection parameters are cast, each one of those teams should receive the same opportunity as the next. A bye only helps to feed the elitist classification of the arrangement.
