Thought on the Status of College Sports
Statistics are the Morphine of College Football
Re: Thought on the Status of College Sports
Enjoyable read. I certainly agree with his point about the rivalries. Fans are getting the short end of it, as they try and force rivals on us instead of giving us historical ones, or sometimes even geographical. Also, found it interesting the way he talks of BYU attempt to join a conference. With Boise and SDSU wisely not moving, the Mt West is a very good/borderline great basketball conf and solid or good in many other sports. Football of course is the driving force but sounds like BYU would've been better served staying put, you can always jump to Independent/WCC. I know they have BYU TV, but it sounds like things have gone quite to plan for them to this point.
