Groundhog Day in September

Postby donovan » Sun Aug 30, 2015 10:17 am

Here's the latest conversation in our household as of yesterday.

Her: "What are you doing?"
Me: "Filling out my football picks"
Her: "Does Football season start already?"
Me: "Yes, this next week."
Her: "I think I'll go visit all the kids and grandkids."
Me: "They will like that, when will you be back?"
Her: "Sometime in January."
Me: "Tell them, 'Hi."
Her: "You are incorrigible."
Me: "How do you think Oregon State will do this year?"
Her: "I think I will run off with the neighbor's husband."
Me: "Tell him, 'Hi.'

Donovan, our wives have similar attitudes. Ohio State played Virginia Tech on Sept 7th and I told my wife (she wanted to go to Columbus that day) we can't go on Monday. I said Ohio State is playing that night. She said "yeah....ok?" I said it is Virginia Tech and I'm not missing that game. She said she didn't know that not being able to watch the game made it a deal breaker. It's like she has never meant me.
