Welcome Chaos.
"A team with something to play for is dangerous, but a team with someone to play for is unstoppable..." Arkansas OL Brey Cook quote following the death of teammate Garrett Uekman (Nov. 2011).

Re: The Chaos Index: Week 1
A fun take on things --- liked the full post on the link, too.
One thing I would have added, is Oregon ---
Scoring 61 points always seems impressive, and:
Yes, Eastern Washington is a decent team ... that is, for an FCS school. So, seeing them score 42 points in a game is not all that unheard of.
It is rather unexpected, when the team that saw those points scored themselves, #7 Oregon, playing in their home opener, kept the Eagles in the game, by not being able to really stop their offense.
A telling statistic Oregon 17 points in the 2cnd Quarter, Eastern Washington 14 -- Oregon 17 points in the 3rd Quarter, Eastern Washington 14.
Of course the Ducks got off to a quick start, as per usual, putting 20 on the board in the opening quarter. However, the Eagles got 7 point of their own, and played close the rest of the game.
1rst Qrtr
Oregon, 20
Eastern Wash, 7
2cnd Qrtr
Oregon, 17
Eastern Wash, 14
3rd Qrtr
Oregon, 17
Eastern Wash, 14
4th Qrtr
Oregon, 7
Eastern Wash, 7
Oregon loves to dazzle the crowd, but, they want to be the dazzler, not the bedazzled. If an FCS school can put those numbers up in Eugene on home opening night, the Ducks had better hope they do not run into a team with a capable defense, because their own defense sure isn't going to keep them in a game --- save maybe for Washington State, who is abhorrent.

In any case, welcome to the site, hope you'll post again.

It seemed like a drive by ad to promote his blog. Don't think he was much interested in what we have to say only having us read what he thinks.

They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.
