OLE MISS AT ALABAMA

Postby collegefbfan-8898 » Sat Sep 19, 2015 10:45 pm

All I can say is wow. Bama at home, down by 14, and still getting handled with 5 minutes left in the 2nd quarter. Ole Miss pass defense looks good.

Bama is gonna drop this one. They just can't get it together, and it seems that Ole Miss wants it more.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

Bama's D stood tight at the end of that last drive, though, they still gave up 3.

Ole Miss is looking solid right now, leading by 20 points with just 3 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.

The Tide nearly threw a pick, that was close. Ole Miss defender dropped it. Bama threatening to score here, inside the 15.

Miss better watch out 30-10 is not enough to put `em away.

1rst @ goal from the 5.

Touchdown Tide.

30-17, just a 13 point lead, and the whole 4th quarter to go.

As I post this, the game still hasn't finished.

Looks like some upheaval in my top 25 poll if Ole Miss holds on.

Well, at least 1 team in the top 10 can now breath easy.

BYU had a 13 point lead evaporate on them, as UCLA score with 2 minutes left and took their first lead of the game, 24-23.

BYU then threw a pick on 4th down with 51 seconds left, and no timeouts.

The Cougars really had a chance to win this game, and they squandered it away, trying too hard to be conservative & play keep away, which allowed UCLA to work back into the game. And the Bruins had all three of their timeouts left, even after coming from 13 points down in the 4th.

BYU had been living on a wire every game this season, so far. Getting into a situation that would put them in critical mode, needing a score in the final minute or less to win ... this week, it was their downfall.

I sure hope they learn from this.

Miami almost got burnt for playing wind they clock, which saw a 23 point lead melt into an overtime win. North Western did make it work today, just as they did against Stanford ... but this time the score was closer.

This tactic drives me crazy, because, if it isn't working, and the other guys start to close the point deficit, then you should go to something else.
