Virgina's schedule has been brutal. Tonight was not their night.

They have a coach who has been hanging on by his fingernails...looks like another losing season. In 2013 Virginia went 0 for 8 in conference...last year they went 3-5 and I thought that they might be moving. I see 1-3 conference wins for them this year.

When you beat William and Mary by 6, I guess that is a clue.

The Hoos could do better than they have, given their recruiting area.

I thought that Boise State's passing game looked real good....the QB had a nice touch.

It seems that no year has been Virginia's year over the last few especially. They somehow seem to "get up" for the much lower ranked opponents (barely though) and the date vs Virginia Tech. London might be searching for a job after this season.

I think Virginia should hire a guy like Scott Frost. Just recruit speed athletes and run a spread. Life will be so much easier compared to trying to run a pro-style offense without NFL-caliber talent. Syracuse too. And UConn. And Pittsburgh. And Iowa State.

One interesting wild card will be when Chip Kelly inevitably gets fired by Philadelphia. He finally got "his guys" in and the offense and the roster appears to be a complete mess. I think he figured his "system" can work with anybody and he could just plug and play and prove everybody wrong, and chasing out McCoy and Jackson and Maclin is probably going to cost him the job. It's really too early to call, but Virginia would be a really cool landing spot for Kelly if he gets back in the college game.

Maryland I could also see working in a big way. That would really up the caliber of coaching in the Big 10. Part of the issue is that the Big 10 East is looking like an emerging juggernaut, at least if Penn State ever finds an offensive line. Ohio State, Michigan, and Michigan State are going to dominate, so Maryland might struggle for oxygen in that regard.
