Apple Cup

Postby Cane from the Bend » Fri Nov 25, 2016 5:31 pm

Washington State is getting trounced upon. 28-3 at the end of the 1rst quarter.

Leach needs a new approach for games like this.

I thought Washington would take care of business.

Looks like the Huskies making a statement. Will they move up in the Ohio State/Michigan losers spot? And make it in top 4 if they win the PAC 12?

If Washington wins the Pac-12 Championship, they are certainly a lock for the playoffs.

I have Washington behind Alabama...and maybe Michigan if the Wolverines win out.

1. Bama
2. Michigan (if they win out)
3. Washington
4. Clemson (if they win out)

I would agree, unless the committee chooses not to jump one team over another, it would still be these same 4 teams, just positioned like this:

1. Alabama
2. Michigan (if they win out)
3. Clemson (if they win out)
4. Washington

Also, this would ensure we would see a rematch of last year's Championship with Clemson & Alabama.

I think we're on track for Alabama/Washington vs. Clemson/Ohio State (Clemson being #2, not like seeding matters for this game). Although I will say Colorado has a great chance of beating Washington. They are a solid team. Although I do think USC with the way they are going would have been a tougher matchup for the Huskies.

I was hoping Leach had something up his sleeve for this game. This rivalry has usually been a really fun one to watch and it's almost always competitive. U-Dub was just too good this year though.
