So, the NCAA is Going To Have a Meeting…….
”We’re already in a time where the on-field aspect of College Football is almost a distraction. It’s an era filled with handwringing about player empowerment, NCAA deregulation, the transfer portal and realignment all while the sport generally moves toward a professional model.” ~ Dennis Dodd

The idea that they could scrap the whole, and build a new foundation, while keeping the original intent of Athletic Scholarship opportunities as the primary goal, sounds magnanimous enough.
Let's just see if they can maintain this vision going forward.
There was a time when the Big 10 didn't want a part of the larger Bowl picture, as they stated; "We do not want to add to the commercialization of the Sport".
Look at where they are today.
The NCAA became an organization built upon the value of self promotion, and selling out to the Universities where these board members held prestigious positions. It became a carousel of membership committees who share seats in an exchange program with cooperating schools.
In esse ... let's just hope greed doesn't get the better of them this time.

Interesting response to a question I texted to a WVU Talk Show guy today……. For what it’s worth, he said, and he’s been reliable in the past about various issues, that he didn’t know with any certainty, but he’s hearing the NCAA will break itself down into multiple oversight groups for the various sports during their upcoming meeting this coming November.

Maybe getting ready to jettison Football oversight because they have never had control over it anyway.
