I'm gonna go ahead and say it, even though the effects are not being fully felt yet. We have destroyed the purity of college football. It's over. Turn out the lights. It's just the minor leagues now.

Ohio State NIL
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

It is crashing and burning. The schools should have no connection to NIL.

The stage is being set for College Football to repeat history……. and if this is not addressed, corrected and defined it’s just a matter of who and when……..

I agree. It is not organized enough for something like this not to happen. There are no rules. Unless they appoint a commissioner over the whole thing and give him supreme power, it will happen.

Amazing how nothing in this article mentions Saban saying pretty much the same thing as Day did ...
Instead, the media took aim at the fact he pointed to specific schools as an example, and exploited it as though he was calling them out for cheating.
This has become the reality of the sport.
The narrative is written; regardless of the truth. All while the big budget programs continue to separate themselves further from the little guy, under the guise of "Just keeping up."

Re: Ohio State NIL
I doubt many of the coaches want to deal with NIL at all. Maybe some who were already heavily involved in booster money. The Schottenstein family in Col. started a war chest for Nil and made it so anyone could donate to the fund. I don't know how that is going. I didn't donate to it. I won't.

When the Buckeye quarterback drives a $150,000 Bentley and is paid a million plus.....there is no doubt that we have profesionals masquerading as college ball players...and he is just one example.

He gets a new ride every 45 days under his deal too. This one isn't set up by the school's fund though, so it is actually in the spirit of the Nil deal. Not the million deal, but the car deal. The million is just as bogus as every other deal set up by schools.

I’m just waiting for the first discrimination lawsuit to be filed…… I’d be willing to bet anyone a shiny new dime that somewhere, somebody is is preparing and stands at the ready to file a complaint.
