Shake my head
Ohio State is about to hire the Texas A&M AD to replace Gene Smith. Yes, the same guy who went all in on Jimbo Fisher. Unbelievable.

I know. He was hired for his work in name, image, and likeness and nothing else it seems. I heard him today tell how many ties he has in Ohio. Shades if Brian Kelley.

………… he’s looking for love and acceptance with that ole line about how he’s ‘one of you’. I remember when Jay Rockefeller moved to West Virginia to enter politics, and eventually run for a U.S. Senate Senate when long time Senators Robert Byrd and Jennings Randolph were aging. And he pulled it off!!!!

Speaking of Coach Kelly ...
Not Brian, of course; How do you feel about the Chip Kelly hire as OSU's new OC ?
Guess the ole Chipper won't have to worry about UCLA termination rumors, anymore.

Appears to me as if coaches with NFL experience are in demand……..

Re: Shake my head
Not a fan of Chip Kelly at all. I like offensive linemen who can open holes that aren’t there when the weather is cold. I like coordinators who emphasize the ground game when the wind is blowing in Chicago in the fall. When the snow is falling in Ann Arbor in late fall. One that can also have his QB strap the offense on his back and take over the game when it takes a track meet to win.
Not many guys out there like that.
I view Kelly as an arrogant coach who got lucky in Oregon with the perfect storm of personal and he still couldn’t pull them over the finish line. He thinks he is Bill Walsh and he is actually Sam Wiche. Thinks he is Saban and he is Charlie Weiss. So to answer your question, not happy about it at all.
