Cry me a river……..

Postby Mountainman » Wed Jan 29, 2025 1:26 pm

…….. ‘yeah, we did it but……. ‘

C’mon guys, stand up and take it like a ‘Michigan Man’……. Your issue is with Jim Harbaugh and his Coaching Staff, not the NCAA.

Appears there’s more than me thinking Michigan’s efforts are self-serving.

…….. and Michigan is self-serving their own interests, with disregard of what happened or how their actions impacts College Football. Maybe they should put a sign in their Nattie Title Trophy Case that says “WE CHEATED”

It would probably be fitting. I would settle for Harbaugh being publically branded a cheater.

How many ‘incidents’ does it take to make a ‘pattern of noncompliance’, and what’s the basis for Michigan’s claim of ‘overreach’??????

Reminds me of a politician who once said, ‘It depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is.

You have to understand the prevailing attittude of the people that run that place. They think they are above the fray.

In that case, maybe the ‘Powers That Be’ should consider changing the name of the NCAA from the National Collegiate Athletic Association to the National Collegiate Attitude Adjusters.

This is about College Football, not about Michigan…….. who acknowledges that rules were broken. They agree with the findings of the NCAA that the illegal stealing opponents in game play signals and illegal recruiting did need happen. So, one may ask, what did they do about it?

Well, they fired a Graduate Assistant and put the Head Football Coach in a Hotel Room on game days to watch the games on TV…….. and now claim the NCAA’s findings of “a pattern of noncompliance” are too harsh and are seeking to lower the severity of punishment level as determined by the NCAA.

In the meantime, the Wolverines won a National Championship in football, and a tainted National Championship Trophy is displayed in Ann Arbor.

I’d say that the attitude in Ann Arbor needs tweaking.

We agree. I just believe the schools believe the NCAA is toothless. I am not sure I disagree with them.

I’m beginning to to understand and get the picture…….. you reckon Michigan will challenge the NCAA’s ruling as ‘too harsh’ this time around too???? No wonder they locked Harbaugh in a hotel room on Game Day.

They are in full on attack mode on the NCAA for daring to accuse them of anything.

Seems these Michigan guys are adept at milking the wrong end of the cow…….. maybe they should consider cleaning up their own house as opposed to someone else’s. I haven’t seen anything on how their challenge to the NCAA is going about the ‘too harsh’ penalty they received, and now they’re staring at the U.S. Attorney’s office for the Eastern District of Michigan. :?

They have pretty much told the NCAA to piss up a rope.
