Flu Bug Hits Valpo

Postby BYUfan1 » Sat Feb 10, 2007 2:33 pm

I finally have the chance to see my favorite Mid-Continent team, Valparaiso, on tv, and as it turns out, the flu bug has hit the team. Their leading scorer, Samuel Haanpaa, is out with the flu, and other players are playing sick. Maybe, they will beat Oakland anyway.

Go Crusaders!

Yay, Oakland won! :D Good game.

Were you around in Michigan? I noticed the game was on Fox Sports Detroit. Was it on that college package that they offer?

What did you think of Mario Ipemba, the play-by-play guy? He normaly does Tiger games so he was a little out of his style. I don't think he did too bad with the game.

Valpo-Oakland

I am in Florida, I watched the game from Fox College Sports Central. I pay an extra 3 bucks a month and I get 3 fox college sports channels-Atlantic, Central, and Pacific. I did recognize Mario from the Tiger games since I get MLB Extra Innings when baseball starts up. I'm more of a Jeremy Bonderman fan than I am a Tiger fan. The Blue Jays are my favorite AL team.

Mario did a good job, but Rick Mahorn, I think he was the other announcer, was not good at all. He stumbled over words alot and sometimes didn't make any sense. I loved the part when Nelson got a rebound and he said he rebounds like a 7-10 guy. I don't know any 7-10 guys!
