I don't usually care about someone's denomination, even though I'm not Assembly of God. I was all for Romney, even though he's a Mormon. I would probably have a problem with a Muslim or a Satanist though.

And I don't see how someone's belief about how old the earth is really matters in these times, seeing as how our nation is facing bankruptcy.

Well, it helps to know if they have a stable shoulder on their heads. I've been to two Pentecostal churches (circumstances, I'm not Pentecostal), and, at the risk of sounding like a bigot, I was uncomfortable in one

The vast majority of Mormons are normal folks. Pentecostals are...well...just freakin nuts.

I agree for the most part with you and Eric...I have had several Pentacostal(sp) friends, and no, they ain't all there sometimes. He kept asking me to speak in tounges, and I personally don't believe in that, but when I asked him..."I thought that was a gift? And if so, how can I just LEARN it?" ...he didn't know what to say.

Actually the mid majors are the nincompooshish blatherskitish emaciated wimps that even joined the BCS. They have no self respect that they would grovel at the feet of those that treat them like the taxpayers of this country....we will steal from you and give us more so we can steal more.....I think I will start watching more Division III...whatever that is ball...at least the they have no illusion of grandeur.

She kicked Joe Biden's butt in the debate. He had so many inaccuracies in his comments, it was laughable. If she had made any two of the same gaffes he made, she'd have to be running away from the ticket. He was smug and self-absorbed (I did this, I did that, the world would have fallen apart long ago were I not in Congress). For crying out loud, he was even wrong when he tried to lecture everyone on the constitutional duties of the Vice President. Go take a basic civics class, moron. Then again, that's Biden. How can you listen to a guy whose changed multiple positions in the last few weeks just so he could run as second banana on a ticket with a man he mocked and lambasted during the democrat's debates. He shouldn't have any credibility with anyone who doesn't want to see the continuation of "politics as usual".

Then you have Obama who procalimed to have visited every state but one, so "I've been to 57 now". Let's not forget he is also a guru of economics who states over and over again that "everyone knows the economy works best when it works from the ground up". Well, I'm still waiting to run into the person at the bottom who has the money to run a business. The bottom pays no taxes, so even the government doesn't work from the ground up. Or how about, "It's a right of every American citizen to own a home". Hmmm, that's how the banks got in this mess to begin with. Political correctness has run so amock that we can't even deny poor people mortgages they can't afford without calling it discrimination. Instead, we let them buy houses they can't afford at payments they can't afford so their credit is ruined forever and they'll never have a chance to do it the right way.

Get McCain-Palin in, and vote virtually everyone else out.

Otherwise, welcome to France.

Everyone seems to forget it was Clinton and his cronies that gave the directive to freddie and fannie to make it possible for people to get loans without putting anything down. Joe Biden and Barney Frank helped lead the way. I'm glad you brought that up. I do believe Palin won the debate. I would still like to see them and the presidential nominees debate in a less controled and more open forum, like town hall meetings of some sort. Moderators from the networks will not call them out for not telling the truth, but the people would.

It is a shame we have a nation that gives the people the right to govern themselves and we (the collective we) can't seem to do anything unless there is something in it for us. The bigger we get the more irresponsible we seem to be.

I agree Palin won the debate. I can't believe people are believing this build from the bottom up mentality...and the take from the rich and give to the poor platform that Obama is running on (does he think he Robin Hood or something). People vote their pocket books my grandpa always use to say to me. People think that they will benefit by Obama taking from the wealthy (well his definition of wealthy) and that they will get a piece of it. In the end, these are the same people that will be hurting because companies will drop jobs to pay for the increase in taxes that Obama wants.

People have quickly forgotten the Democratic primary debates. Just a few short months ago, Biden said that our country deserves better then on the job training (referring to Obama)...he made it clear that Obama was not ready to be the Commander in Chief...and blasted him time and time again. And then came Thurday and the VP debate....Biden has quickly changed his tune. How can you believe a word this man says?

I have attached a great little video (runs about 8 minutes). This will give a little insight into the housing crisis with Fannie and Freddie. Watch the video to the very end....at the end of the video you see Bill Clinton explain in his own words what went wrong with Freddie and Fannie....I think you will be surpised at his confession. You also get to see how naive Obama's current financial advisor is. Enjoy the video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MGT_cSi ... 1199457875).

I don't think that any good comes from taking money from people who employ people and giving it to people who don't work. There is no such thing as taxing the rich. The middle class has and always will pay most of the taxes in this country, because more people make up the middle class then any other group. If you tax business, business will pass that along to the consumer. You can tax the top 1%, but they already pay a boat load of taxes in terms of dollars. Any tax levied on the American public will be paid for, at some level, by the middle class. Also while they say they will not raise taxes on the middle class, I have yet to hear how they define the middle class. I have seen people say that earning 80,000 to 150,000 is rich. That is not rich.

Biden didn't seem like he knew what he was trying to say half of the time. "And I quote....I'm paraphrasing...."

I caught about half of the debate because I was also watching baseball and football at the same time, but from what I saw, whenever Palin tried any digs at Obama/Biden, she did it with a smile on her face. It was really interesting to see how Biden came back after she "nicely" criticized them. Still, I don't see how McCain can win at all. He has to tell the public that changing parties won't magically solve the economy.

You won't believe how many Dems said that Franklin Raines was doing such a magnificent job running Fannie Mae back around 2004. Then you've got Barney Frank.........Wow  Many Republicans were actually calling for investigations and more insight, so this isn't really a 100% partisan thing. What makes me sick is that the country is in a state of flux when it comes to the economy and then you've got these jokes-of-politicians pointing fingers.

While I think McCain is running a losing campaign, I think Sarah Palin will try a shot at becoming president in 2012 or 2016.

Eric...did you watch the video I posted. The dems were apauled that the rep would question what Raines was doing. They were flat out saying nothing is wrong with Fannie and Freddie and that they were being run well. And like I said before...Bill Clinton makes it clear where the fault should fall. So many Americans are blind to the facts that are before them, and I have little doubt that Obama will win the election. He won't be getting my vote though. America will get what they ask for and I don't think they are really prepared for what they will actually get with Obama's policies.

I agree Doss....America does not know this guy and does not want to know this guy....Every time somebody brings up his associations they are shouted down by a complicit media that are rigging the election coverage in his favor.

The media can't lead people where they don't want to go. If he gets elected the people will get what they deserve.
