But...I will be first to state that the ACC has not been competitive in the BCS bowls (if that is what you mean....you weren't very specific)...they won a national championship in '99 and took Penn State to triple OT in '05...and those are the high spots.

I am getting a little sleepy. I think I will count ACC and WAC or MTN sheep.

You count wrong
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

I wondered if the Dawg was going to take that lying down!

Actually, Derek, all of those teams lost to ACC counterparts. The ACC, top-to-bottom, was much better than the SEC this year. When you've got Auburn, LSU, and Tennessee failing to live up to historical standards, that's bad. Don't tell me their place was taken by teams like Ole Miss, Kentucky, and South Carolina, because they weren't.

Let's just remember 1 year is just that, 1 year. It isn't a trend...not yet at least. Not that I wouldn't like to Auburn, Georgia, and Arkansas being the only good teams in the SEC. The rest I pretty much can't stand!

You are right. The ACC should be loaded again next season and will probably be the best conference, but the SEC has been the most consistent and most dominant over the last couple years. Still, the future is bleak for Auburn and Tennessee, in my opinion, with the latest coaching moves. Arkansas will probably fill in one of those slots and Ole Miss will be a team to be reckoned with. The Mullen hiring at Mississippi State will also pay some dividends.

I am not onboard with the Auburn move. Crazy to me! Tennessee, I don't think risked much...they had not been performing at an acceptable level for that program!

Fulmer got some big time recruits who didn't turn out to be as good as they thought. You have to hit on 50% of your recruits or you will be job hunting in CFB.

I guess Fulmer didn't check with ESPN on those recruits.

That has got to stink, getting a bunch of guys that don't pan out! The biggest gamble the schools take and oh so critical!

I believe Lane Kiffin will do an alright job, but he's not a guy that will take the Vols to the next level. You can expect plenty of Music City Bowls and Outback Bowls, and I don't know that will be taken in Knoxville :?
