Jackson State-Tulsa

Postby BYUfan1 » Fri Dec 18, 2009 1:32 am

The Tulsa Hurricane defeated the Jackson State Tigers in the first round of the Las Vegas Classic 92-39. Tulsa played tough defense all night long and held the Tigers to 19 points in the first half while scoring 43. Ben Uzoh was all over the floor getting 22 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists, and 2 steals. Justin Hurtt made three 3-pointers and scored 14 points in the game. Jackson State (0-8) continues to struggle without the services of Grant Maxey, who is out with an ankle injury. Tyrone Hanson was the only Jackson State player to score in double digits, and he finished with 14 points.
