That is hilarious. I do feel your pain though....it was crazy when Nutt left and not knowing what was going to happen at Arkansas. I liked how it turned out so far....maybe Tenn will get a better coach then Kiffin.

LOL..."glad that others hate him"...well, now Tennessee fans and players can have that distinction as well.

I feel for the Vols. Right at the worst possible recruiting time...

That is what makes this bad. Kiffin just pitched them into a hole. To make matters worse - they invited all committed recruits to SC. Tennessee gave this guy a chance and he slapped them in the face. When we loses his job at SC, and he will, schools should remember is how he left Tennessee.

Very disappointing to see how all this went down. He added a lot to UT and will be missed.

I think most fans feel betrayed and realize that there is little time to find a suitable replacement. It's understandable to have a desire to coach at your "Dream Job", but 14 months is a ridiculously short period of time to spend at a university coaching. in addition, I think it is classless for Coach Orgeron to be offering USC scholarships to incoming players DURING KIFFIN'S PRESS CONFERENCE. Talk about trying to strip the cupboard bare on your way out. Kiffin's sudden departure will be felt at UT for the next 5 years.

Here is some interesting info about Kiffin's time at UT.

I was surprised to see his lack of interest at past traditions.

Hopefully a top coach will be interested in taking this position.

Article by Pat Forde (http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/columns/s ... id=4820927).

My favorite line from the article: "Paris Hilton has paid more dues than Lane Kiffin."

Lane Kiffin is the biggest Rube ever to come out of Minnesota. He is a jerk of major proportions and neither Tennessee or USC deserve to be stuck with him.

I didn't read the article, but I love that line! :D I'm going to have to remember that one.

Spence if you can find a way for us to not be older, let me know as we could maybe go into business together. "CFB Fountain of Youth", has a nice ring to it.

Only if we can keep the journey in our head. Otherwise I'm not sure I want to go back.

We could all get scantily clad women for our signature.

THIS GETS MY VOTE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If there was a CFB Fountain of Youth I don't think I'd need the scantily clad women pics. If I recall a warm Spring breeze would do just fine!

Anyone watch Kiffin give his press conference at USC? Man did he look nervous and out of place. He was swaying back and forth so much my tv was blurring. He said he would run a clean program....that made me laugh....you now because in 1 year at Tenn he and his staff committed 6 NCAA violations. The Southern Cal media put some heat on him....asking about Orgeron asking recruits not to go to class at Tenn today and transfer to USC....

I think (no matter how good his staff is) that Kiffen will crash and burn. Spence you are right....Tenn did not deserve him and USC does not either....for that matter no one should have to put up with him.

I think he will do alright initially, but at the end of the day his integrity or lack there of, will be his undoing. I think at the end of the day that Norm Chow will be the head coach at SC. That is why he is coming in, not because he has any respect for Lane Kiffin.

I will predict...write it down...Kiffin will be coaching High School in less than 10 years.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

You are probably right about Chow.

Did you guys read the interview from the UT player (http://ncaafootball.fanhouse.com/2010/0 ... tennessee/). He and Orgeron went in and did away with all the UT traditions and replaced them with USC traditions. Did stupid stuff like ripping their shirts off to motivate the team, allowed music to be played at practice with foul language, showed USC Trojan video to inspire the UT palyers, etc, etc, etc. Lane just does not get it....I love at the end of the article the player says that everyone loved Monte Kiffen (as a coach and as a person)....he says that Lane and Monte have nothing in common.
