All you have to do is vote. There is a requirement that it be a D1A team because the teams that I have to enter from are only D1, But that is it. I would really like to see you in it. No right or wrong, just available teams. I don't want to be a voter myself because I enter the teams and I don't want to be able to skew the results. I believe you would be a great voter if you choose to be.

Golfer to golfer I got a knew Taylormade driver last week - the 2008 burner tour prefered - It is amazing. My drives are 280 yards - which is longer then I ever have hit a ball. I have ordered mizuno MP-58's to complete my transformation - do you approve?
Taylormade makes great drivers. I would say they are the leader in that category. That does not necessarily mean that there driver will be the best for everyone though. I don't really know much about the current Mizuno product line, being retired now. I should have one of the new Cobra drivers coming shortly, unfortunately, I am injured and not sure when I will be able to play again.

What is the weekly deadline for submission of the vote? What format are the votes submitted? Put me in.

I run two pools with about 60 players in and this creates quite a bit of work. Fortunately, I have it all built into Excel and if the entries are submitted properly, it is simply a copy and paste into my master sheet.

We generally set the deadline for Tuesday evening unless there are Sunday games that are relevent to the polls - then Wednesday. I have entered the polls the last few years in system that assigns point values to teams voted on. 25 pts for #1 votes 1 pts for #25 votes and then totals the points for the order. I can only enter D1A teams as they are the only teams listed in this system that I can choose. Individual voters used to be able to enter their own poll, but I don't have the ability to reset and assign new passwords so I have to enter everyone's poll myself to make it work. Then I publish the poll in the polls page on the main site. It is interesting to try and be consistent in voting all year. There are no requirements in voting except those you put on yourself.

I'll either prove to myself I know what I'm talking about, or...I guess I'll just shut up.

If knowing what we are talking about is a requirement....we are across the board in big trouble. :D

The only thing required is an honest vote. I think that is all we can ask. I don't know that anything else matters. I will be gone next week so this will be the time that matters.

So far we have:

WVU
Derek
Collegefbfan8898
Donovan
Vileborg
Eric
Doss
RazorHawk
BigdaddyQH
Grayghost

Anyone else want to be a part? This is the time to jump in. I will get the groups together starting around the first of August and we will get the preseason vote in shortly after. The season is right around the corner. :D

I just sent him an email. He and his wife are in Hawaii at a Bridgestone Golf sales meeting. Tough job.

In a moment of weakness I am going to be a pollster if I ever come back from Hawaii. Do we leave USC out?
The preceding statements are solely the opinion of GoBoilers and are, therefore, probably not based whatsoever on fact, research or more time in thought than what was required to physically type them. They're probably correct anyway, so you shouldn't argue too much, because otherwise he'll just blather on forever. On the internet Al Gore invented.

That would be up to you. We have no such rules. Our only rule is that we get DIA teams because that is the only schools I have to choose from in the program that tallies votes.

If we ever hook up in person I will hand deliver them. The only game I am committed to is Wisky @ Purdue in November. Someday I'd like to back to the horseshoe (been once) but, only when we have a chance to win. What flavor ball do you currently use?

Yeah Spence. I remember when I was selling for Maxfli (Late 70's) and would be making a sales call at a golf course. Often when a player realized that I was a golf ball salesman and thought he could weasel some free samples, I would hear, "I always play your ball". A couple of times I called the person's bluff and said that for every Maxfli ball they could produce from their golf bag, I would give them a free sleeve of three balls, up to 1 dz free balls. I think I had to actually give away a sleeve once.

Goboilers, if you are going to wait to go to the shoe, only when Purdue has a chance, you are probably going to have a pretty long wait.

I would do well at that, I really do play Bridgestone and Titlelist. I play the B330 and the E7. I actually prefer the E7, that is the ball I generally buy. In I also hit the ProV1 Titlelist, but I don't use them everyday. I used to play Maxfli, but they discontinued the ball I liked.

Spence, I am creating an Excel spreadsheet that I plan on using to submit my rankings. It will make things easier and the same each week. If those with Excel and their Macros enabled care to use this, I will be more than happy to share.

It will show all FBS teams and then a column to enter a number from 1 to 25 to the right of the name. If a number has been previously used, it will also show that. Also at the right of the sheet the games scheduled are shown and also the ability, with the click of a button to update with the scores downloaded from the internet. It highlights the teams that are in the top 25 visually.

I have attached my start of this project.
