#1 Bama vs #10 Arkansas (week 4)
Both teams come in 3-0. The game is in Fayetteville, Arkansas (I can't believe ESPN Game Day will not be there....they will be in Boise for the Oregon State game).
Mallett needs to have a huge game and the defense can not give up the big plays. The stadium will be electric Saturday....wish I could be there.
Mallett was named the Walter Camp Offensive Player of the Week after his performance against Georgia.
Mallett's numbers so far after 3 games:
1,081 yards
70-of-100 completions
10 TD's (9 passing, 1 rushing)
2 Int's
Leads the NCAA in passing
3rd nationally in total offense
I can't wait for this game. I think Arkansas has a legit shot at winning this game.
Your thoughts?

Re: #1 Bama vs #10 Arkansas (week 4)
I think it all comes down to Arkansas' rush defense. They will have to keep Bama's run game to Un-Bama like numbers! Bama can run, but if Ark can keep them under 200 they'll be in it, under 165 yards and they should win. But the Hogs have to at least draw even in TO's. If they can do these 2 things the Hogs should be able to outscore them.

Whoever gets the turnover edge usually wins these types of games.
The preceding statements are solely the opinion of GoBoilers and are, therefore, probably not based whatsoever on fact, research or more time in thought than what was required to physically type them. They're probably correct anyway, so you shouldn't argue too much, because otherwise he'll just blather on forever. On the internet Al Gore invented.

You take away 1 long run last year (where Richardson broke about 5 tackles) and the Hogs held Bama to less than 3 yards a carry. Hogs can not give up those big plays.
Bama has a young secondary that has not been tested. If the Ark oline can give Mallett time I think Ark scores on these guys (Ark oline gave up only 1 sack against Georgia).
I agree with GoBoilers....turnovers will be huge in this game.
This will be a long week for me. I wish I could be in that stadium. It will be CRAZY Saturday!

Bama wins this one. Hog fans will complain about the officials. I will drink more than usual.

Re: #1 Bama vs #10 Arkansas (week 4)
I just checked stub hub for tickets to the game. Trying to see what it would cost me to fly to Ark and get tickets. Just too expensive. Stub hub has a few tickets available...cheapest: upper level in the corner for $135 and most expensive: lower level around the 50 close to the sideline for $850. I will just have to enjoy it (or be frustrated) from my living room watching on my big screen.

It should be a great game. It is one on my list to see.

The bolded are my thoughts.
Arkansas could have won the game last year if they made the tackle of Richardson (I distinctly remember that play when watching the game and thinking that was the key moment in the game).
I do think Alabama will win, but Arkansas winning the turnover margin by 2 and not giving up a big play will allow them to win. I think Arkansas has a better chance of beating Alabama next weekend than UF has of beating Alabama on October 2.
I was at the game in Tuscaloosa last year and Bama totally manhandled the Hogs. The final was 35-7 and only because Saban took it easy on the Hogs. The game could easily have been 50 to 7. Arkansas did make a game of it early, but never looked like they had a chance to win.

Re: #1 Bama vs #10 Arkansas (week 4)
Gameday has been in SEC land at least a couple of times already. I think they like to move it around and this is probably the best time to go to Boise, as this should be a good game.
Not sure why Gameday was not in Tucson this last week, as it was the only game between two ranked teams. Definitely, the Arkansas vs Alabama game is the game that will have the highest two ranked teams.
There are conspiracy theorists that think that Home Depot (Arthur Blank, owner of the Atlanta Falcons) sponsoring the Gameday show may be trying to not have the show go to Arkansas. This seems a little far fetched to me, but I am fairly naive.

too funny!
I don't have any animosity towards Bama at all, but if I were to ever wear an Arkansas hat at a Fayetteville tailgate, it would be for this game. I think Fayetteville is going to be electric. This could be the "Heisman" moment R.M. needs.
Key to the game: Arkansas wrapping up and gang tackling every play.

Arkansas was manhandled late but the score was 14-7 in the 3rd quarter last year.

No conspiracy. They go to where they feel they will get the most viewership (it's about the money). The Boise vs Virg Tech game was one of the most watched college football games ever (I saw this somewhere today). I thought too they would be in Arizona yesterday.

Yeofoot...are you going to the game? I think you are right about Fayetteville being electric. Unless Bama takes a huge lead that stadium will be rockin.
