Indeed.

The other day this women quoted the oft spoken phrase, "live every day like it is your last". I thought about that and it occurs to me, Who wants to be right one time in 98 years?" Seems that percentage isn't very good.
I looked at the CFP users poll final results, and though it does not agree with mine, not even very close, I think it is pretty accurate. I think there is some bias...but unlike another thread in statistics bias is a systematic as opposed to a random distortion of a statistic as a result of sampling procedure. My problem in ranking is, 1, I do not believe in it, 2, the system is so flawed not sure it means much at all, 3, there are predetermined objectives in the rankings that makes it somewhat silly, in my opinion.
LOL...
Candor and honesty? Because someone agrees with your perception?
I ask the question every week..."who have they beaten and how did they look doing it".
The season is still early...But in the end, I will vote for the teams that have played the best ball over a season. And the two teams that have had the closest to a championship season "in my book" will be #1 and #2.
Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rage at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Thats good. I have a solution. Let Bama play BSU at the end of the season and let's see where the cookie crumbles.

donovan wrote:To me, this is the rub. Everyone wants the two best teams to play for this National Championship. But the system is so flawed there is no reasonable subjective or objective way to determine the two best teams. Do I think Boise is the third best or 5th best or even the 10th best team in the country...probably not. Do I think the system should rank them third or higher...absolutely...you can not penalize Boise for a flawed system and hold other teams to a different standard. This whole system is trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear, and I would think, especially on the Razorback's part, that the sow should be held the sacrosanct.
