Re: The weekend of bloody snow
Put the fork in this team. RB, Bolden torn ACL in fall practice (ran for 935 yds last year), WR Smith hurt a couple of weeks ago-ACL (projected late 1sr round draft 1st team BT),QB Marve now hurt tripping on the grass prolly ACL strain or tear and Siller who beat Michigan 2 years ago and maybe the best athlete turned ankle. This team is DONE!

I heard Marve was out for the year. Is that true?

And they scored again. Crap

Guessing it's true. Test done tomorrow.

That sucks, I was really looking forward to seeing him take charge at Purdue.

We weren't going to scare you guys at the "shoe". 4 skilled players with no depth is recipe for disaster. Purdue board guys are already trying to fire Hope! Ridiculous.

Maybe not, but a guy like Marve having a good year would really help recruiting.

73-20 now, Spence. Are you okay with that
(The only answer of course is "Hell no, I want triple digits")

Not OK with the 20. Ohio State has emptied the bench and they have played most of the game. You can't tell the young guys not to try and score so that doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that the defense - even if it was guys down on the depth chart, allowed that many points. It should have happened.
The two young running backs, Berry and Hall, have been outstanding. Boom and Zoom better start looking over their shoulder.

What really gets my goat is how thin we are in the defensive backfield. That is going to come back and bite Ohio State at some point.

Considering the opponent you do have to wonder if it is indicative that the Buckeyes will find themselves in a tense back and forth game at some point... vs. Indiana or Wisconsin maybe... Some shades of that with the way Miami kept hanging around, but they stepped up when they needed to...

Ohio State was thin at DB at the beginning of the year and we have had three go down since then. Do doubt it will hurt at some point. Eastern Michigan had way to much success throwing the ball today.

Alex Gillett really doesn't have very many tools, but he can make a good throw now and again. Ben Thayer is also a pretty reliable target at TE. That said, I'm surprised LeDuc didn't wind up with a catch, as he's a big target they use sometimes at TE but mostly as a deep threat.
But it's still Eastern Michigan

Ohio State is down to their 9 and 10 defensive backs, which is as thin as it gets, but they still shouldn't have gone so soft on defense.
