Turnovers, but mostly bad play. The B-12 didn't look that good as a group today.

BB, Texas has not looked good at all this year. They just seem unsure and nothing flows, they have players...but I don't see the gel.

Am watching LSU/WVU then to bed...up in am to watch recording of Bama/Arkansas....

The FSU game leaves me feeling funny....I am not happy and I do not know why. The defense kept Wake from crossing the 50 until the 4th quarter, shut them out....yet, the offense still looks "off".

31-0 is a decent enough score, I just feel unsettled from what I saw.

Without giving anything away, the Arkansas-Bama game didn't disappoint from a football fan point of view.

I really don't get it. They have so many guys that are going to play on Sundays, but just can't seem to have 11 guys playing every play. You hate to say "we needed this loss," but we kinda did. That Pistol offense is such a unique offense, that it will take some getting used to. Very much an assignment type defensive gameplan, and Texas really wasn't ready for it.

I don't even know what to say about the Texas offense. I am 100% puzzled...If Gilbert looks like Simms always did against OU, this is going to be a long 3 years.

Yo, Spence, clearly the title of this thread was to get back at me for my FSU is Awful thread, but I'm pretty sure if I tagged it FSU sucks, it'd been locked or erased.

DOUBLE STANDARD.
And really, OMG...is billybud actually a 10 year old girl...my 10 year old niece is the only one that types that, I'm just sayin.

If you would have tagged it Florida State sucks I wouldn't have locked it. If you would have tagged it BB sucks , I would have.

I would prefer that the sniping back and forth would end, though.

On the topic, I don'[t know what happened to Texas. I just think there aren't many good teams around this year. Maybe a talent shortfall around the country, maybe teams have gone too small trying to get faster. I don't know, but I haven't watched many teams that I would say are great. Actually, I haven't seen one. I like Alabama on offense. I like Arkansas on offense. I like Boise State minus all the penalties and special teams problems. I like Ohio State minus the defensive backfield and terrible special teams units. No one really can get it together.

One of the advantages Texas has enjoyed the last few years is depth at offensive line, which had some fresh guys in the second half. Their top backups are out, which doesn't give them any substitutions.

Maybe it's a combination of a lot of small advantages Texas does not have anymore.

I know UCLA doesn't have a lot of respect right now, but they did beat 2 top 25 teams in a row...I knew there was a reason Texas always scheduled twinkie OOC games!

UCLA has a good coach. I still think Texas probably wins minus four TO's.

Yeo...

I thought that the title was accurate...and delivered in vernacular football language. I was surprised about the Longhorn's offensive play since UCLA had been beaten by double digits in two of its former three games.

And yep....it was karma...

Yeo...no contest.

Texas has the athletes and should beat Oklahoma and win the Big 12. I just wondered what happened yesterday. I'm reading Orangebloods now to get an idea.

I really wasn't getting to far into the "smack" thing since I don't really relate to it.

Mostly turnovers and mistakes is what happened. Texas couldn't overcome their own mistakes. Still you have to credit UCLA for taking what they were given.
