Oregon was not "great" against ASU, but they won, and had a few convincing drives. They can move the ball quickly.
Alabama showed they have weaknesses...but I think Auburn is a big surprise to me this year. Now that I think about it, the whole SEC west is pretty strong in comparison to the East.

They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

Off topic, but this is really what irked me the most with the Big Ten and their division alignment. They said one of the main concerns was to balance the power in the two divisions. In the SEC, a few years ago the East was the stronger of the divisions, now it is the West. This will swing back and forth.Derek wrote:Oregon was not "great" against ASU, but they won, and had a few convincing drives. They can move the ball quickly.

Had the Big 10 gone strictly by geography in an East/West breakdown, it would have been:
East: Penn St, Ohio St, Michigan, Michigan St, Purdue and Indiana
West: Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, Illinois and Northwestern.
Each division would have had 3 of the supposed top 6 teams and more of the existing rivalries preserved. Spence would have been happier, still been able to go to a game in the Horseshoe, and everything would be a whole lot better.

I would have been happier, but Delany needed it the way it is to please the Domers. ND to the B 10 is a done deal, they just need time to convince the alumni and boosters. ND used to make lots more money then everyone else, now they don't come close and their next TV contract won't be better. Delany is doing all of this to please the Domers. I hope this all comes back to bite him in the butt.

I am all for making ND join a conference, but not to satisfy this "super conference" idea.

Doesn't much matter to me anymore. I don't care one way or the other if Ohio State is even in the B 10
