Well maybe Larry Coker will work some magic

It depends. Old Dominion was solid right off the bat in the FCS. Florida Atlantic didn't take long before they started competing for FCS playoff spots. If you said that Texas San Antonio would be in the Big 12 next season, they would be much better off the bat. It depends on the perception of the recruits going there.

WOW!, When I was a kid growing up in New Braunfels (graduated NBHS in 5-1983, went to the USMC in 6-83) I don't think UTSA had a sports program. Good Luck to them if they come to the WAC.

Double Ditto
Win or Lose - IT'S HOW YOU HYPE THE OUTCOME! BCS logic: When teams in the AQ conferences lose, it shows how tough those conferences are; when teams in non-AQ conferences lose, it is weakness.

Warriors I never noticed your New Braunfels address! I live here now! Did you watch my Boilers get drilled by Hawaii about 4 years ago at Aloha stadium? Hawaii is about as close as you can get to heaven without being there.

Both you guys..my wife is a Texas gal. Went to HS in San Antone. Her brother now lives in Seguin and a sister in Floresville. We'll be motoring over on the Harley in April...I'm looking at renting a cabin in Blanco or a condo in San Marcos/New Braunfels for a couple of weeks.

Lots of bed and breakfast deals. Am sure there cabin deals somewhere. I'd start with Google search. HD dealership in New Braunfels right by the river.

This is true! I got out here about 23 years ago when I was in the MARINES. I just decided to stay here, but I sure don't remember UTSA having an athletic program. Yes I remember playing Purdue that was the year before UH had their undefeated season and lost June Jones to SMU. Those were the better seasons in UH history, hopefully we will be there again some day.

As far as my home town goes it has changed alot since I left, but I grew up in a little sub-division just off River Road called PREISS HEIGHTS, its about 1\2 to 3\4 of a mile down River Road after you turn off Loop 337. The High School I went to was New Braunfels High School not far from there also on Loop 337. Have you made it to WURSTFEST and THE COMAL COUNTY FAIR? Those were like the two biggest events besides the New Braunfels/Canyon football rivalry. Well I'm going to stop remenicessing for now, I like that someone has seen my neck of the woods and liked what they have seen! GOOD LUCK TO PURDUE AND THEIR SEASON!

I think Texas San-Antonio made the NCAA playoffs in basketball in 2003 or 2004. They were one-and-done as a 16 seed, but that's the first time I heard of them. Now I pretty much know about everybody
