Is LSU the worst good team in the nation? How does this team keep winning?

Les Miles is so happy he doesn't have to answer for that botched substitution. Probably the dumbest end of the game that I've ever seen, on both sidelines. But, since this happened in the SEC and in an SEC environment, it'll get trumped up as a great game

Miles has so much talent and so little clue what to do with it.

It's like watching a train wreck.

Actually, I think he's a good coach, but he does have his...moments.

Yeah, I just dont' understand how LSU always manages to have these types of games. Like their late touchdown against Auburn in 2007 when the play was totally unnecessary but it worked out anyway. Or how they were getting pummeled by Troy in 2008 and somehow came back and won the game by scoring 30 unanswered points in the 4th quarter. Or this game where they get lucky on a botched substitution by Derek Dooley. Or how they should have lost to an undermanned North Carolina team on that pass interference that wasn't called.

You name it, Miles pulls it together somehow

Yeh, that is a good point. It was crazy though. Maybe the year that Cal was ranked #2 (I think). The player got tackled in the middle of the field with a few seconds left. Against Oregon State I think.

Well thanks. You had to bring up that game. For a breif shining moment...all of about 6 minutes I think...Cal was the #1 team in the country. And then Riley...yes, the very same quarterback that is plagueing me now...goes at gets tackled, trying to be a hero, when Cal could have kicked a piece of cake FG and sent into overtime. But nooooooooooooo...he goes and gets tackled with no time left on the clock. Cal's season crumbled after that.

But hey...thanks for the memories.

I remember a game against Kentucky that they won with no time left as KY players were celebrating! LSU has too many of these types of games. Reminds me of ND.
The preceding statements are solely the opinion of GoBoilers and are, therefore, probably not based whatsoever on fact, research or more time in thought than what was required to physically type them. They're probably correct anyway, so you shouldn't argue too much, because otherwise he'll just blather on forever. On the internet Al Gore invented.

THANK YOU Les Miles and LSU for a vary enertaining game! How a coach and a team can pull this off so often is beyond me, but I like it!

Eric, you sound like me all of last year. LSU is always in something sloppy, looking bad and winning. They get a break here and there...it is just crazy! I hate that WVU lost to those clowns. (I still don't think they are better than WVU, not even close really.)

I can't believe WVU did not beat them either.

I mentioned it in the other thread but did you see how confused the LSU players were at the end of the game. They had :24 sec and could not get lined up with a play. LSU players running circles trying to figure out if they should be on the field or not. Right call by the officials....Tenn had 13 players on defense.

Dooley was pissed at the post game press conference. He said he was going to look at the tape but said he thought the offense had to lineup over the ball and give the defense time to make adjustments (or something along those lines). He was fighting mad actually...to the point it sounded like he was going to cry.

Yeah, I give Dooley credit he was slobbering mad and did about as good a job as one could do in that situation. But I don't know what an official can do in that situation it is another of those lose-lose situation. (Hold on, as I wrote that I could swear I have seen a similar situation with LSU before. Likely some other end of game chaos Miles benefited from, but I can't think of the game. With my CRS, it must have been last year! And it may have even been twice.)
