Maybe, but Notre Dame isn't that good either and Purdue is decimated by injuries - so that doesn't get them mant points.

Defense (sports)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
In many team sports, defense or defence (see spelling differences) is the action of preventing an opponent from scoring. The term may also refer to the tactics involved in defense, or a sub-team whose primary responsibility is defense. Similarly, a defense player is a player who is generally charged with preventing the other team's forwards from being able to bear down directly on their own team's goalkeeper. Such intention exist in association football, ice hockey, water polo and many other sports.

What's sad is that at West Virginia, for a few seasons at least, he had decent defensive play to accompany Pat White and Steve Slaton. At Michigan....He just has Denard Robinson. Basically it's an improved Roy Roundtree + Denard Robinson + a more in-shape offensive line and that's the only difference from last year to this year. Granted Denard Robinson playing the way he is is a huge improvement, but my point is that the boneheaded turnovers are still there and the defense is basically as awful as it was last season. So even though the record is much prettier, this isn't a wholesale improvement from 2009.

He had top 10 D's the last 2 years I think. (Really good the year he quit, the Loss to Pitt, beating OU in the Fiesta. I think the D this year at WVU should be the best ever.)

But I have to say, I haven't seen ANYBODY in the same league as Denard yet!

I can't even really cheer against him!

(On a different note, Pryor looks so much bigger this year. He looks like a Power Forward.)

When he got knocked out of the game shortly and was on the sidelines with one of the coaches or the trainers, he did look like a giant. Either that or the trainer was very short

It's like when Early Boykins was playing in the NBA. The guy is average-sized (I think he was listed at 5'5 or 5'6) yet on the basketball court he looked like a midget.

Pryor is 6'6" 240. That is real too, it isn't blown up numbers in a program. They say he runs a sub 4.3 forty too, although, I have no way to find out if that is real.

BTW Eric.

Tennessee found a good defense that Michigan should use...13 players!

I also saw Michigan's highlights..."Big Hold" from the left tackle on one of Denard's runs on the final drive. "Big Hold"...the defensive player was going crazy!

It did seem to work pretty well until the laundry started flying.

I don't know...James the RB at Oregon is fun to watch. Today against Stanford he rushed for 256 yards and had multiple TD's. However, Robinson is a special talent.
