It wouldn't matter at that point if Boise had their Offensive Tackle play QB. New Mexico State is a team that has had four straight teams put up more than 40 points on them (and we are talking UTEP and San Diego State type teams).

Fodder...grist for the mill.

Yeah -- The WAC is full of that, right? No doubt NMS is feeling humiliated, being thumped by Boises second and third strings in the second half.... Maybe tomorrow they will go back playing marbles or tetherball again, right? Fewer injuries that way...
Win or Lose - IT'S HOW YOU HYPE THE OUTCOME! BCS logic: When teams in the AQ conferences lose, it shows how tough those conferences are; when teams in non-AQ conferences lose, it is weakness.

The thing is, they did it with such ease. Boise State is going to run over their competition this year, probably including Nevada.

Nobody has mentioned Colorado...of course Georgia isn't that strong this year but I didn't have the Buffs beating them.

I...

... actually ...

... don't know...

The Big East has not been fantastic this year; not sure where Rutgers fits into the bigger picture.

I didn't see Rutgers in anyway losing to Tulane. (Let me say it again, Tulane. ) They looked good against UNC for the greater part. And I think UNC is a good team and I hope the Hairspray Heads remember their missing players to open this season. Even against Rutgers they still had 2 guys out if I recall.

It is not like New Mexico State is not good at anything. New Mexico State is usually ahead of Boise State in men's basketball. It was a long time ago, but at least New Mexico State has made it to a Final Four. New Mexico State leads in NCAA Tournament appearances 16 to five.

Even without BYU, it will be interesting to see if Boise State does anything in MWC basketball. Actually, both Nevada and Fresno State are better additions to MWC basketball than Boise State.

Yeah, just stepping back in here briefly to point out that I sort of nailed this one. :P

Any predictions on final record for USC now? Stanford is sure to take out their frustrations on them next week. Cal could be trouble, depending on which Cal team shows up. Oregon, Arizona, maybe even UCLA? Maybe this is a 7-6 USC team.

As for Rutgers losing to Tulane... wow... has anybody checked to make sure this isn't 2002?

Well, I don't know if you nailed that one, or simply asked about the possibility.

Did you take them in your weekly picks... or bet on the Huskies?

Hence "sort of." Not playing the picks game, so no real concern there. As for betting, I did look at it, but played Hawaii -8.5 instead. Just let me have my halfway bragging rights, already. :P
