BSU 59 - New Mexico State 0

Postby silverfox » Sat Oct 02, 2010 11:16 pm

Shhhhhh.

But don't anybody clap.

607 yards of offense for BSU, of which 310 of that was passing...

But its not what it looks like, right? BSU's depth was not highlighted at all in this game because....

NMSU didn't even take the field

So lets just ignore it cuz it (the game) never really happened -- that way Boise's 3 out of four games being away from home don't even have to added into the equation. That counts for nothing...

And everybody knows BSU would get smeared by the Crimson Tide -- it would be unsportsman-like to even allow them on the same field together -- ever - like gladiators... oh, gladiators vs bottom feeders...

Cuz only the SEC produces Gladiators. And the WAC, well they just furnish the dog food....

I like that thinking... :P

I don't know for sure what would happen if Boise State played the Tide. This was a good win by BSU, though. They won the game like they should have won it. So far Boise State has been just as impressive as any other team I have seen this year except maybe Bama. If I made out a poll, Bama would still be my number one.

Don't get too excited for whipping one of the bottom 5 worst teams in college football. Boise will not be tested the rest of the year. Who's next for Boise...La Tech, Idaho....?

There is no doubt Bama is an excellent team. Do they now have a cakewalk to the NC game? I read how many times here that Florida was the last team that even had a remote chance of knocking them off...

I think Nevada will provide a good test. Nevada is a pretty good team.

No defense, though. Consider it an upset if Boise State doesn't score 50 points. That said, I think Nevada's rushing game could push them a bit, but I don't think Boise is at risk for losing that football game.

Well, I have always said Boise State is going to have to bust through the rest of their schedule the way a #1 or #2 teams should run through that schedule, but if they do, I think they should have a shot.

Yeah I understand you exactly -- just a bunch of bottom feeders -- no serious challenges.

Course it IS the conference at the moment that BSU is a member of. So thank you very much for diminishing the importance of the victory by pointing out the obvious -- as if we couldn't all see it. BUT, if NMSU would have pulled off an upset or was even close then you would have been dancing on your TV in celebration, right?

Oh well --

Lots of football left to be played.... Who knows....????

It is the conference they are in and I understand that. I do think Doss is right that Boise State isn't going to be challanged much the rest of the season. That, in my way of thinking is two fold. One Boise State is a good team. Two, Most of the rest of BSU's schedule isn't very good. I just think that Boise State just needs to keep taking care of business like that. Dominating on both sides of the ball. I don't think they can struggle. That may not be fair, but that is the way it is.

Not trying to diminish anything...just pointing out that they beat a terrible team. I do not get excited when Boise wins and I would not celebrate when they lose (unless it helps the cause of the team I root for...Ark). Boise, if they want to be taken seriously, should get into a better conference. They like their situation...who wouldn't. I have no ili will towards Boise...it's the system I do not like. It will be interesting to see what the polls look like tomorrow. Oregon is up by 21 over Stanford with 1 min left. Does Oregon jump Boise?

Oregon will jump Boise. I'd say, deservedly. But Oregon has worked themselves into the New Darlings on the scene...so it is a gimme!

I agree, Oregon just beat a very good Stanford team by 21 points. They should jump Boise in the poll.

I'm not sure Oregon should jump them. Boise State did nothing to lose ground this week. They did what they should have done.

Actually Toledo (Don't laugh, ok?)

Next the next week San Jose State (another WAC bottom feeder that lost to Alabama at Alabama this year).
