I look for Texas to work there way back in, but Penn State and SC are done.

I wonder just what Utah has done to earn such a high ranking? They did beat Pitt in OT, but that was before Miami embarrassed Pitt 31-3 on the road at Pitt.

Utah has played UNLV, New Mexico , and San Jose State....current Sgarin rankings of #112, 155, 171...and Pitt at #52

Congrove: Ranking of UNLV 31, New Mexico 44, San Jose State 48 and Pitt at 52. Of course you can do what Mr. Sagrin does, put every teams in the milky way galaxy that has a team on your making it so arbitrary that only the "uniformed would be impressed." Or is that the uniformed...or unicorned? Utah is ranked high because the rankings are a whim of the moment by those of "elect."

Yeah, I didn't really even know they were ranked to be absolutely honest, then last night I saw them up there. I looked, it seems Meyer is still in Florida...some news gets out slowly I guess.

Great Donovan! I do not want to speak badly of young Congrove on his own board...and I don't have to (and I assume that you misread his power ratings)..

BUT...he has UNLV at #101 in power...New Mexico State at #117, San Jose State at #114...

I'll buy Congove's estimation of their relative power....the very bottom of the FBS.

I have to be careful, the next thing you know I will be defending Boise's wimpy schedule...Every school has one of these games...but if you ever go to a Boise vs Idaho game...be prepared...football is just an excuse to start clobbering each other....I digress.

PS....FSU looked pretty good last week. That defense crushes on any hesitation by the offensive line.
