Spell-Checker

Postby WoVeU » Mon Oct 04, 2010 8:59 pm

Okay! Who has been jacking with the spell-checker? I have over the last week, been entering vernacular, hillbilly lexicons, oddities, and even purposeful misspellings and I am not getting my red ink! I think the grammar checking has been shut down all together. (Well with Spence and Eric they could have crashed it. Or Donovan could have as well by imposing diction above its ability.)

OK...I am checking.......Biose......yep I got a warning notice. "NOT ONLY IS THIS WORD MISSPELLED IT IS AGAINST THE RULES OF THIS FORUM TO MENTION OR EVEN THINK ABOUT THIS TEAM" So I am betting Mr. Billybud is responsible....whoa....just read that as a stand alone sentence. I can see quoting out of context could lead to issues.

I know we are still running one here...but something is different. It leaves me with that eerie feeling, like when the wife wants to have sex..."Could this be?"..."Could this really be?"..."Should I check the credit cards?" ..."The bank accounts?"...."Oh Lord, am I dying?"..."Is the doctor's office number on the caller ID?"..."Or, or maybe, perhaps, could it be, could I have won the lottery?"

Merely typing this teams name will cause the site to execute a PHP script that will shut down your computer. We need to get this fixed. 8)
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

Spence, when most of us guys post something all of our words don't have the red line. (Some here and there, those that are misspelled.) Not a click feature, "always on."

Mozilla Firefox has the spell checker that will underline a misspelled word, then a simple right click on that word and it gives the suggestions for substitutes. Not sure that Internet Explorer does that, as I haven't used that browser for a number of years.

That must be what it is. My desktop has Mozilla Firefox, but I never use it. I only use my laptop and my phone. The browser in the laptop is IE and the phone is safari.

I use firefox and have never seen words underlined, or red lines, etc. I am with Spence, I had no idea we had spell check. I guess it does not work on my end anyway.

The board may not have spell check, but I see squiggly red line under any word that I misspell. The spell check is built into Firefox. Not sure if there is a place in Firefox to enable it.

At the top, click on Tools and then Options. It is on the Advanced Tab, the General.

Thanks Razor...I never even thought of that. I use Mozilla. And I have upgraded it recently. (Because it seems to let more things go now.)
