A week before the BCS Poll and BSU will probably drop again
After all the shake-ups I am guessing Oregon and Ohio State will probably grab the top two places and one or two other teams will jump head of BSU dropping them to 5 or 6 or even lower... Maybe even TCU...Most certainly Bama will still be ahead of BSU even with the loss

I don't know. I think the fact that VTech is playing well may get Boise State at three. I think Bama probably stays ahead of TCU.

I think Bama may drop below Boise...around 5. Eventually teams like Auburn, LSU, Michigan State, etc if they keep winning will jump Boise....and Ohio State and Oregon will stay 1 and 2 until they lose. I don't see TCU jumping Boise. It has to do with schedule. You can't help who's in your conference but playing Toledo, Wyoming, etc makes it tough to keep Boise high when other teams are in heated battles most weeks against teams that can actually beat them. Hey...my Hogs will help your boys out by taking out Auburn next week.

Gameday hasn't been to the B-10. Ohio State will be one or two in the polls. Wisconsin generally gives Ohio State major fits -especially at night in Madison. Night games in Camp Randall aren't fun for players. Cool atmosphere for CFB fans, though, the cheeseheads always rock the house.

They should, but Ohio State can't run the ball. That is a problem, especially if Pryor can't run next week. He has had a quad injury since the Eastern Michigan game, everyone said he was 100%, but he didn't run one time today and he had lanes all day.

I doubt Alabama will be in the top 5. I think they will wind up around 6 or 7 because you have to account for the fact that Ohio State, Oregon, TCU, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and possibly Auburn are all undefeated at this point.

Boise has a good defense. I have no doubt. It just isn't tested week in and out.
Teams that play a bunch of tough teams, can have an "off" day and lose one (like Bama). And they do as many times as not.
But Boise has a defense and it appears to be a good one.

"Defense wins championships."
If that is true, and you were to first rank the top 25, maybe less, top 15, or top 10 as 'potential contenders', then, ranked by defense, how would Boise St. compare?
This is why teams from mediocre conferences can get high in the polls, top 25, top 10, even top 5 -- for a time -- but, never 'break the glass ceiling', it seems.
Every sport probably has a similar phenomenon...this quote is taken from basketball commentary, where it seems to be a well-known observation.
The Hawaii vs. Georgia '08 Sugar Bowl seems like a good example, not to mention Boise's own weak overall bowl performances, even considering the OT win, and 7-point win, in 2 Fiesta Bowls, the other 4 of 6 years were losses (Poinsettia, Hawai'i, etc. see: http://www.collegefootballpoll.com/bowl ... state.html )
Maybe this has changed, or is changing, but recent history (bowl results, big games) is a big factor for pollsters, when ranking closely matched teams -- let alone when deciding which 2, and only 2, teams should represent the entire country in one game.

Oregon State's win over Arizona can't be bad for Boise or TCU.

Boise States Total Defense is ranked Number 2 in the nation.

Shocker huh? I didn't see that one coming....although I felt that Arizona was getting a lot of love in the polls that they didn't deserve.
I moved them a little lower in my polls than the public becuase of this.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.
The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.
See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.
