FSU Pounds the Canes

Postby billybud » Sun Oct 10, 2010 8:23 am

Groggy this morning....

Woooo hoooo. That was a dominating performance by the Nole O line...45-17. This team is coming together now. The new schemes are sinking in.

The FSU backs have been clicking off yardage by hitting holes, breaking a tackle and going for some good yards. I was worried that Jimbo's scheming doesn't stretch the field with deep passes, but having a team cheat up may be what he wants. Break through when they have 11 in the box and you will be running for the goal line.

Dominating win. I believe FSU is the best team in the ACC.

I didn't have this game. I had to settle for imagining a Seminole gliding across the goal line while orange and green clad youths performed the same stupid Gator Chomp I was watching in living color...both seeming to clamp down on nothing but air!

The difference between last weekend and this weekends offering of games was quite notable for me, the only late game I had was Nevada. And no other WAC, MTW, or PAC-10 entertainment to drift off to dream with. (Many games on early...in exacting conflict, I have to get my office fully moved into and hook up all of the cheap "tube" TV's I have collected over the years.)

If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

This was a "hit em in the mouth" type game for the Noles...very physical. A lot of big lumber was getting layed.

I watched an earlier game of FSU where they won and their defense had great stats. I thought both teams looked mediocre and said so. My disparagement was posted. I stand by that observation. But yesterday, I saw a FSU team that was polished, looked well coached and disciplined. There were few missed assignment and especially the backs knew where to run when the line had opened the holes. This was not a mediocre team, but one to be reckoned with.

Yeah, glad to see FSU showing signs of recovery, and I say recovery because I agree that College Football is better all round when the Seminoles are playing well. I forget who said it, but deep down I agree.
