Not sure it is inherently bad to subscribe to your items according to the dictates of your conscience. My kids say to me, "You always think you are right." I reply, "If I didn't think I was right, I would change my opinion or belief." Personally in football polls, I like Congroves because I like this forum, use his site and think it is reasonable to support a place that gives you benefit. Same reason I shop at True-Value and not at Home Depot, I like the guy that own the place. I have a grandson that works at KFC, I buy my chicken there.![]()
I agree. That is how most people choose everything.
All very true. But I think shopping for a church is dangerous. Kind of like letting a 5th grader choose his school and teacher. (How many kids would choose by who has the most knowledge, skill, and ability and the one that does what is best for their future. Political Parties...not much to pick from, all you can do is find one that best supports what you have learned in life. So if you haven't learned too much, then you have some respectable choices. Items on a menu, I most always go with what I like...hence the 38" waist. I have to do better...if I want to do better at the first 2, it sure would help if I did better with this one.
Though I wonder how you choose a church, if you do not shop, investigate, study, etc....that is not the point. I have been to restaurants where shopping off the menu was deadly.
