Hawaii? They lost by double digits to the only two BCS conference teams that they played....but looked good against non BCS teams.

Hawaii is a mediocre team. Hard to manufacture any real competitiveness out of the Warriors this year.

I didn't see it coming. I knew Wisconsin has played us tough every year. Mostly because Ohio State has become more of a finesse team of the last ten years and when someone plays smashmouth straight ahead football they have problems. I was surpised Ohio State could rin against Wisconsin, not that surprised that Pryor got rattled in front of the Wisky crowd. I wasreally surprised that the defensive line crumbled like they did. That was the strength of the team.

Oh well. I knew it was coming. Just didn't know when. Ohio State coaches have built this team to defend against spread teams and they can move laterally with the best of them, which is why we didn't have much trouble with Oregon. Ohio State can't play smashmouth any more and IMO won't be able to compete for a championship again until they can go one on one with power teams. Defense wins championships, Ohio State's isn't good enough to win a champioinship.

I just am not sure that there are any really great teams this year. There may be 10 or 15 pretty even teams at the top. I think this year when the BCS decides to anoint the top two for the Championship game, there will be more disagreement than ever before.

Iowa is pretty good and could go 11-1 or they could finish 8-4.

I thnk Iowa's only downfall is Stanzi. He can be good or he can stink. The football team, though, is solid.

If Auburn or LSU only lose one with that murderous schedule, they'll have my vote as #1.

Oregon, undefeated, will have my vote.

Oklahoma, undefeated, will have my vote.

Up on the spread by 23.5 points... I love Hawaii football.

I could easily adopt Hawaii as my third team. Great atmosphere with all the night games and beautiful surroundings. I have been to a couple of games in Aloha Stadium to see Arkansas and Iowa play Hawaii. They were really fun when June Jones was there. I also knew Stan Sheriff, as he was from Iowa.

Great win over Nevada.

I say that June Jones should be Michigan's next coach :D

June Jones would be a good hire for any team IMO.
They’re either going to run the ball here or their going to pass it.

The fewer rules a coach has, the fewer rules there are for players to break.

See, well ya see, the thing is, he should have caught that ball. But the ball is bigger than his hands.

We'll see, but I think RR may draw great benefit from the stir and attention on the program in the early season, it may save his job.

A big tell on the health of the program will be how well the Michigan D plays in the next game.

I think he has to beat Ohio State this year to stay employed.

If so, he better update his resume. A Buckeye win would be a big calling this year. (Back drop: Ohio St. and Iowa played as close as you can get it last year. This year I think the Hawkeyes are about a touch under what they were last year and the Buckeyes about a touch better...and this year's game is in the shoe. If Ohio State comes home to play Michigan in the shoe...the Wolverines will be plowing up hill! I don't think they have enough running game or D to defeat the Buckeyes, not if Ohio State is relatively healthy.)

I think they have to show up for the game and probably keep it under double digits and then go to a bowl. In this I am considering that they only won 5 games last year, 4 FBS wins and 1 Big 10 win and beat ND. They have equaled those marks already this year. Now if he wins 8 games and beats 2 of Illinois, Penn St., or Wisconsin and you consider his Freshman QB and the team in general that will post at least 4 wins over the 11 and 12 season than they could with almost any coach...I think there hand is forced a bit then! And it is very likely that Michigan will post a good performance in a bowl game, those speedsters heal up in a month off and find the overdrive gear they haven't had since week 3 and also know the system well and timing of the other players at that point.

I really find it hard to imagine him winning 9 games and losing to the Buckeyes and getting fired. That is asking for a pretty short turn to reform a team (styles) and beat a Top 5 team in their house. All of us Hillbillies would laugh and burn couches but I don't think that would be too smart...but hey, we are talking about TSUN!

He isn't going to win nine games, maybe he wins seven. I think the fact that he is 0-3 to MSU means he has to beat Ohio State. The boosters will start appling more and more pressure if he doesn't.

The problem is that RR is at Michigan. A school where being just decent won't be good enough.

The boosters are, I would reckon, anxious for Michigan to return to Big Ten championship level....If Michigan loses to Ohio State and Wisconsin for a 4-4 conference record, I expect RR will be in trouble.
