Very interesting and very revealing.

Yeah? Reveals what?

It is easy to count first place votes if one is inclined to do so. The votes are in plain site.

Good answer.

Time to stop picking fights and start respecting everyone else's opinion and take the votes as they lay out. For me? I really do try to analyze This year, this month, this week. Not the past years (except where it might be relevant).

Boise State will be screwed in the end. Not because they are such a bad team but because the "old guard" doesn't want them to upset what they already have. OK. So be it. The "old guard" thinks inside of the box instead of "outside of the box" -- it is hard to see the opportunity when you are so crowded and attached to your ways. You can't see the forest because of the trees.

The only solution is to just abolish college football altogether because of the abomination that it has become. It is a primitive gladiator type of sport that turns otherwise normal middle-aged gentlemen into raving and selfish lunatics. The fans are the culprit not the players. The players play it out on the field. The fans play it out everywhere else. And yes I happen to speak from experience because I am probably older than most of you in here (for the record, Truman was President when I was born).

To be honest I hope that TCU and Boise State both are the only undefeated teams out there and play for the NC at the end of the year. But it will never happen.

Boise State was ranked number 4 last year at the beginning of the year and went nowhere but down after that even though they were undefeated. Thats because of everything that has been debated here. But it is not the fault of the players. They play the game and work their hearts.

Maybe their example should be our beacon of hope on how we all conduct ourselves.

I didn't want to see TCU and Boise last year. Them playing each other does college football no favors and does neither school any favors.

We each have our own opportunity to place our opinions in our polls and this is a our middle ground. This unified poll is the calculation of our biases and the negotiated midpoint of our opinions. It is our collective, and you have been assimilated.

As far as Boise goes...this is indeed your opinion. I am fairly sure people in Boise do not agree with your assessment. Sure Boiseans want to play in the big game...deserving or not...that is the rules and they feel they have done their part...pretty sure no different than any other school. Hell, I listen day and day out about Southern schools where the game is interpreted in so many ways where the posters school always won or should have one. Show me one game where the Arkansas referees were not bush-league. Boise has been reward over the past years very nicely for what they have done. If anyone is at fault for Boise not being where they should be is is Boise's fault. They are the ones that sold their soul. I thought the game was good, was a match up of like teams. As for not doing college football any favor...who cares...it is not about college football, it is about two schools...about time we start remembering what athletics should be. Our schools at every level are in shambles and we are chasing something that isn't even real.

I agree. CFB isn't one body, that much I think everyone agrees. My only rub with Boise State and TCU playing each other is that it won't change anything. If anything, it will hurt the cause of everyone playing on a level playing field. Boise State or TCU playing the top major can change things. Put them together, like they did last year, and it is a cop out by the bowls. Not the schools or players fault by any means. They took the best deal they could get like everyone else.

Soooo...if Boise and TCU come in legit at #1 and #2..who do you want to screw out of the Championship game, TCU or the Broncos?

Let em play!

Of course that will not happen since there is not enough drama in that game to put a record number of folks in front of TV. Like there would be with a BCS vs non BCS game.

If they come in one and two they will play, but that is exactly what the anarchists are hoping happens. Neither program can move forward playing each other for the championship.

Overall good poll. I do think TCU is about 5 spots too high....that stands out to me. I also believe Missouri, Michigan State, and OK State are undervalued. And having Virg Tech and Nevada in the top 25 is way too high...I mean how can Virg Tech be one of the top 25 teams after losing to a FCS team (if they are we need to find a spot for James Madison).
"A team with something to play for is dangerous, but a team with someone to play for is unstoppable..." Arkansas OL Brey Cook quote following the death of teammate Garrett Uekman (Nov. 2011).
