Yea, well, I've shortened my content since the sparklit site... probably has to do with the 1 hour time cap I was under when I had to rely on the library for internet access, back when my pc burnt out.
Either way, all of the text book sized drafts that I used to respond with, were only a warm up; as I have noticed a few others have taken up where I left off.
Donovan & Billybud have, at times, put up some indexes as well. A couple others, too.

I feel ya; when I first joined with this group 9 years ago ( man time drifts by ), I was the only Big East / Hurricanes fan, and I took a lot of flack...
Of course, many have come and gone in that time, and College Football has changed quite a bit, with Conference realignments & major programs going through the motions...
After the `Canes won in 2001, there was a sudden rise in would be Miami fans. Haven't seen many since 2005.
Being in the lesser %ile of a larger group can have its draw backs.
Then again, it can also be fun ( like you mention ).
One thing a site like this does, is allow for rational discussion on these topics.
Not much flaming going back & forth. A couple of hotly debated topics, but handled in a rather civil manner.
But, this site has also given some of us who wouldn't normally care, an invested interest into each others favorite teams.
Making good associations has helped me to become more patient with regards to my natural instinct, which was to just blow up when I felt I was being disrespected; or my team was.
I still have that fire in me... though, I am a bit more tame than in the past.
And teams I would normally hate, I more readily give chances to.
